The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge could be significantly thinner than previously speculated, with recent leaks suggesting a thickness of just 5.8mm. South Korean tech YouTuber The Sinza recently shared a video showcasing a potential dummy unit of the device, offering an early glimpse into its design.

The S25 Edge is expected to be part of Samsung’s S25 series lineup, which also includes the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. The device's unveiling is reportedly scheduled for April.

The Sinza’s video highlights the S25 Edge in multiple color variants, hinting at Samsung’s approach to aesthetic variety. The dummy units resemble Samsung’s earlier prototype showcased during the S25 series launch in January. The phone features a sleek frame with a pronounced camera module positioned on the left side. When compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which measures 8.2mm in thickness, the S25 Edge appears noticeably slimmer.

Industry reports indicate that the upcoming iPhone 17 could have a similar ultra-thin profile, with leaks hinting at a 5.5mm thickness. If the 5.8mm figure holds true, the S25 Edge would be among the slimmest premium smartphones in the market.

The S25 Edge is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, aligning with the rest of the S25 series. It is expected to house 12GB of RAM and feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Camera specifications remain unconfirmed, but leaks suggest a dual-camera setup, likely featuring a 200MP primary sensor alongside an ultra-wide lens. The device’s battery capacity is expected to range between 3,000mAh and 4,000mAh.

Samsung has yet to confirm the official specifications, but industry analysts speculate that the S25 Edge’s thin form factor may impact battery performance. The device is expected to be positioned as a premium alternative to standard flagship models, targeting users who prioritize aesthetics and portability.
