A new rumour has stoked interest among the tech community about the possible launch of Apple’s iPhone SE 4. As per a report by Korean news publisher ETNews, the soon-to-be-launched model will feature a 48MP primary camera.
Industry sources cited that Taiwan’s Foxconn and China’s Cowell Electronics and BOE are the major participants in the supply chain. LG Innotek and LG Display will supply camera and display for the much-anticipated device, said reports. It added, “LG Innotek has recently started mass production of camera modules for the iPhone SE4 at a factory in Vietnam.” LG Display will undertake responsibility for the phone's OLED panel supply.
Interestingly, if aforementioned rumours are true, the Tim Cook-led electronic giant will be offering an OLED screen for the very first time with its budget-friendly devices. This is expected to feature a 6.1-inch LTPS display, which is bigger than the current generation’s 4.7-inch screen.
However, iPhone SE 4 is expected to be less powerful than iPhone 16 series as their 5-G connectivity will be limited to the Sub-6 standard. With an estimated price tag of $500, the new model is said to be powered by A18 Bionic chipset.
