iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max Leaks Reveal Design Overhaul, Camera Upgrades, and New Features
Leaks reveal iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max with new design, 48MP cameras, A19 Pro chip, reverse wireless charging, and more, expected to launch in September 2025.
Apple is gearing up for the release of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max in September 2025, with exciting new design changes and feature enhancements expected. Recent leaks suggest a significant redesign for the Pro models, including a shift from the titanium frame to a more durable combination of aluminum and glass, while still maintaining wireless charging capabilities. The camera bump will also take on a new rectangular shape, marking a fresh aesthetic.
Display & Performance Enhancements
Both Pro models will retain their current display sizes—6.3 inches for the iPhone 17 Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max—but will feature 120Hz ProMotion displays across the entire iPhone 17 lineup. A new anti-reflective coating may be added to improve durability and reduce glare more effectively than the current Ceramic Shield.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 Pro models will be powered by the new A19 Pro chip, manufactured using a 3-nanometer process for enhanced performance and energy efficiency. RAM is also expected to be upgraded, with 12GB of RAM replacing the current 8GB to boost multitasking and overall performance.
Camera System Upgrades
The camera system will see significant upgrades, with the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max featuring a new 48MP Telephoto lens, replacing the existing 12MP sensor. This will make all three rear cameras—Wide, Ultra-Wide, and Telephoto—48MP, improving image quality across the board. The front camera will also receive a major boost, with a 24MP sensor and a six-element lens for better FaceTime calls and enhanced low-light performance. Additionally, the Wide camera may include a mechanical aperture, allowing users to manually control light intake for improved depth and exposure.
Charging & Battery Features
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max may also introduce 7.5W reverse wireless charging, allowing users to charge accessories like AirPods and the Apple Watch directly from their iPhone. Wired charging speeds will likely remain at 35W, consistent with previous models.
Price and Availability
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to be unveiled between September 11-13, 2025. Pricing is anticipated to stay in line with previous releases, with the iPhone 17 Pro starting at $999 and the Pro Max at $1,199. These models are set to offer cutting-edge upgrades in design, performance, and camera technology, making them one of Apple’s most highly anticipated launches.
