Fortnite servers down: When will chapter 6 season 1 be back online?
Epic Games took the servers down early this morning at 3 a.m. in preparation for the update, which will bring exciting new content. However, players will have to wait a bit longer, as the downtime is expected to last several more hours. According to the official server status page, the downtime will run for about eight hours, with the game expected to return online around 11 a.m.
Epic Games announced the downtime on X (formerly Twitter), saying, "Prepare to hunt and slay demons!" The v33.00 update begins at 10 p.m. ET, with matchmaking shutting down just before.
During this time, all major modes—including LEGO Fortnite, Creative, Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, Save the World, and Rocket Racing—are offline.
The update introduces a new Asian/anime theme, bringing fresh locations inspired by Japanese aesthetics, complete with pink cherry blossoms and bustling Asian markets. In addition to these visually stunning changes, players can look forward to new gameplay mechanics, including wall jumping and rolling when landing.
The update also includes a new Battle Pass with fresh skins, such as Baymax from Big Hero 6 and samurai-inspired characters. Players will be able to battle powerful bosses like Godzilla and King Kong, while exploring a demon arena to earn top-tier weapons and loot.
Fans can expect a larger-than-usual download size, so be prepared for a lengthy installation process as Fortnite’s new season arrives with fresh challenges and rewards.
