Set to launch on May 30, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Pre-orders have begun, with special discounts for owners of previous editions, F1 23 and F1 24.
For the first time, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will feature on the game’s cover. The release coincides with Formula 1’s 75th anniversary, adding historical significance to the edition. Hamilton’s highly anticipated move from Mercedes to Ferrari is also reflected in the game’s Iconic Edition.
Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters, detailed new gameplay advancements, stating, "F1 25 expands player experiences with improved racing mechanics, deeper career mode interactions, and multiplayer enhancements." The game introduces expanded modes, including Braking Point and career-driven challenges, allowing players to compete at different levels.
F1 25 will be released in two versions. The Standard Edition, featuring Oscar Piastri, Carlos Sainz, and Oliver Bearman on its cover, includes an F1 75 Celebration Pack, F1 World Starter Pack, and 5,000 PitCoin for pre-orders. The Iconic Edition exclusively showcases Hamilton in Ferrari colors and offers additional Hamilton-themed content. This edition also introduces special chapters inspired by the upcoming F1 movie, integrating elements from the fictional APXGP team.
Hamilton, Formula 1’s most successful driver with 105 Grand Prix victories, shared his enthusiasm about being featured. "Joining Scuderia Ferrari HP marks an exciting phase in my career. Having this represented in F1 25’s Iconic Edition is a special moment. I can’t wait for fans to experience it," he said.
The game boasts enhanced AI, realistic physics, and high-definition graphics, delivering an immersive racing experience.
