CyberPeace’s inaugural CyberPeace summit in association with C20, G20 & USII

Mumbai, Sep 05 CyberPeace, in collaboration with the C20, G20 India, and the United Service Institution of India as the Knowledge Partner, and with CP-USI CoE successfully concluded its inaugural CyberPeace Summit 2023 on September 1, 2023, at The United Service Institution of India, New Delhi, with Zoom India foundation, meta, India Foundation, InMobi as the supporters of the summit. The summit has also received an official support letter from CERT-In (Government of India) and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.

The Delhi Declaration and CyberPeace Protocol were unveiled during the CyberPeace Summit by the former NCSC Lt Gen Rajesh Pant in consultation with the C20 vertical.

People spoke and attended the Summit from all over the world, representing many diverse cultures. The Summit, a gathering of global cyber specialists, policymakers, industry executives, and digital enthusiasts, was attended by some of the world's most notable figures, including:

The much-anticipated "Delhi Declaration on Cybersecurity" and the innovative "CyberPeace Protocol," papers aiming to establish global norms and inspire collaboration and peace in cyberspace, are a unique focus of this year's Summit.

At the Global CyberPeace Summit, the inception of FIST - a Framework for Integrity, Security, and Trust was announced. As an exemplary multistakeholder initiative, FIST aims to metamorphose the fabric of the internet, making it more open, accessible, transparent, safe, and secure. The pioneering members that form the robust foundation of FIST include industry and nonprofits like InMobi, CyberPeace, USI, and NIHIT. Their unified vision and drive are set to catalyze significant shifts in the digital realm, ensuring that cyberspace evolves in a way that's inclusive and resilient from cyber attacks and cyber harms.

FIST or Framework for Integrity, Security and Trust is a multistakeholder initiative to make the internet more open, accessible, transparent, safe, and secure. During the inauguration and launch of the initiative, Dr Subi Chaturvedi, Global SVP, Chief Corporate Affairs, and Public Policy Officer, InMobi, said that FIST was a representation of strength in unity and a coming together of the global south as the new leader of innovation, standards, and global policies to keep the internet safe, open and interoperable. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi said from the ramparts of the Red Fort, it's high time that we moved away from the slavery mindset and towards a new global approach that is bold, unfettered, inclusive, and brings people together. FIST is the manifestation of that ambition and idea. It's a movement to ensure that everybody, everywhere can benefit from innovation in an environment that is safe, secure, and has trust built in by design. With a forward-looking global alliance, everyone is welcome.

The CyberPeace Summit also celebrated the exceptional contributions of individuals to the field of cyber peace through the exclusive CyberPeace Awards and Honors. Recognitions included "CyberPeace Keepers," "CyberPeace Ambassadors," and "eRaksha awards." These accolades acknowledged champions who embody the vision for a safer digital environment and inspire global efforts toward a harmonious future.

Additionally, the winners of the eRaksha Competition, a nationwide online safety competition organized by CyberPeace and NCERT, Ministry of Education, were honored during the event.
