CloudSEK takes down thousands of malicious content online

The company has utilizes its AI-ML-based product, XVigil, to analyze data and identify trends in cybercriminal activity

Hyderabad: CloudSEK has released its annual take down statistics for the fiscal year 2022-23, showcasing the organisation’s relentless efforts in combating cybercrime and safeguarding organisations from online threats. CloudSEK’s in-house take down team has successfully removed over 3,000 malicious contents, including fake domains, fake apps, and more, hosted publicly over the internet and targeting organisations across various sectors in 2022-23. The BFSI, retail, and telecom sectors were the most targeted by scammers during this period.

CloudSEK utilizes its AI-ML-based product, XVigil, to analyse data and identify trends in cyber criminal activity. This analysis provides valuable insights and enables the company to create a comprehensive graph depicting attack trends, further strengthening its proactive cyber security measures.

The comprehensive takedown efforts by CloudSEK comprised 1,067 requests for fake social media, 641 requests for fake domains, 419 incidents of fake apps, and 234 requests for fake customer support numbers. These proactive measures highlight CloudSEK's commitment to creating a safer online environment by effectively eliminating malicious content within an average of 2.5 days.

The journey of CloudSEK's take down service began in 2020, driven by the need to protect clients from the surge in online fraud targeting their customers. Since then, the company has continuously enhanced its take down capabilities, exploring innovative approaches and strategies to expedite the process and minimize potential damage.
