ClarityX, an AI-powered data analytics and consulting firm established by the founders of MapmyIndia, introduced Places Pulse on Tuesday. The newly launched search analytics tool is designed to interpret consumer movement patterns using real-time data insights.
According to a company statement, Places Pulse leverages hyperlocal map data from Mappls MapmyIndia to analyze anonymized user search activity, offering businesses and policymakers crucial intelligence on market demand and location-based consumer behavior.
Rakhi Prasad, co-founder of ClarityX, highlighted the tool's capability to highlight demand surges, assess location-specific consumer preferences, and facilitate strategic decision-making at no cost.`
The platform tracks search trends across various categories, locations, and time periods, enabling businesses to stay informed about emerging hotspots and consumer interests. It utilizes Mappls MapmyIndia's mapping technology to provide insights tailored to different geographic regions.
Key analytics from ClarityX reveal that religious destinations accounted for nearly half (49 per cent) of all searches in India. Healthcare-related queries, including hospitals and clinics, comprised 23 per cent of searches.
Data from Places Pulse indicates that Goa saw a 62 per cent rise in tourist-related searches in November last year. The Andaman & Nicobar Islands, along with Goa, recorded the highest search activity for pubs and bars. In Andhra Pradesh, bakery searches surged significantly from 5 per cent in January last year to 36 per cent in April.
Further analysis highlighted Kamrup Metropolitan, which includes Guwahati, as the most-searched location in Assam. In Delhi, Sri Ganga Ram Hospital emerged as the most-searched healthcare facility in 2024.
ClarityX aims to provide businesses, urban planners, and policymakers with actionable insights to refine strategies based on consumer search behavior. The firm asserts that Places Pulse can be a valuable tool for understanding evolving consumer preferences and optimizing service offerings in different regions.
