Apple's Vision Pro mixed-reality headset is set to make its debut in Taiwan on December 17, with pre-orders opening on December 5. The updated Taiwanese website now features detailed product information, pricing, and personalization options, including storage capacities and ZEISS optical inserts for vision correction.

To enhance customer experience, Apple will host 30-minute demonstration sessions at its two retail stores in Taipei, starting alongside the pre-orders. This move is part of Apple's ongoing international expansion of the Vision Pro, which has already seen the device launched in several countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore.

Recent additions to the availability list include South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. Despite this widespread rollout, India—a significant growth market for Apple—has yet to see the Vision Pro's release.

Reports suggest that the premium pricing of the Vision Pro may be a significant barrier for its introduction in India. Priced at $3,499 in the United States, the Vision Pro targets a niche market of early adopters and tech enthusiasts. In India, the price could approach ₹3 lakh, making it less accessible to the broader consumer base.

In response to pricing concerns, Apple is reportedly in the early stages of developing a more budget-friendly version of the Vision Pro. This version is expected to feature a more economical display technology, moving away from the current OLED-on-silicon (OLEDoS) display, which offers a pixel density of 3,391 pixels per inch (ppi). The anticipated affordable model may use a display with a reduced pixel density of around 1,500 ppi.

As Apple continues its phased rollout, tech enthusiasts in Taiwan will soon experience the Vision Pro, while Indian consumers remain eager for announcements regarding its availability in the region.
