Apple is put its money on artificial intelligence yet again, as it plans to completely overhaul its Health app, and include an AI doctor like service inside it as per an article by Bloomberg. This move is in line with the CEO's view that healthcare is the largest contribution made by the Cupertino-based tech giant to humanity.

Apple whisperer Mark Gurman reported that while Apple's idea of adding the non-invasive glucose monitor on Apple Watch Apple Watch could be far off, Apple's health team is looking to utilize AI to enhance users' lives.

Apple's plan for AI doctor:

As per the Bloomberg report the Apple team is involved in Project Mulberry, which will have Apple Health's Apple Health application completely overhauled and include the health coach through an AI agent that will duplicate some of the analysis conducted by a doctor.

The Apple Health app will gather information from all of the users' devices, including Apple iPhone, Apple Watch, Earbuds, as well as other products of third parties. The AI agent within the app will then utilize the information to create specific recommendations to improve user's health.

What is the extent to which Apple's campaign in the direction of AI Coach moved?

Apple is reportedly working on training its AI agent with information from its doctors and plans to recruit external physicians. It is believed that the Tim Cook-led company is also believed to be establishing a new location near Oakland, California, where doctors could record their videos to be used in the app. It is seeking an "great doctor personality" to serve as an actor for its Health app, which has been revamped.

Although Gurman does not discuss the doctor, it could be a possible attempt to introduce an element of human interaction to the application similar to the way Google or OpenAI has utilized humans to create voices for chatbots.
