Apple's plans to upgrade Siri, its virtual assistant, have hit another roadblock. According to sources, the tech giant is struggling with the much-awaited revamp of the Siri AI update, which was initially expected to launch alongside the upcoming iPhone SE 4 in February 2025.

Furthermore, this is not the first time Apple has faced delays with Siri. The company has been struggling to keep pace with rivals like OpenAI and Google Gemini, which have made significant strides in AI technology. Apple's inability to deliver a seamless and accurate AI experience has raised concerns among investors and customers alike.

Update Delay: The Reason

Mark Gurman's report suggests Apple’s engineers are unable to fix the errors and bugs in the software that will make Siri AI-powered. These are some big technical challenges and it will serve Apple really well if they only release the new Siri for the users when things are in full shape.

Siri is a key component of Apple's AI effort, and if a critical aspect of the voice assistant isn't operating as stated, fix it before making it available to the general public. Thus, despite the delay, Apple is pleased to push the Siri AI improvement to the iOS 18.5 update, which may be released in May of this year.

In fact, even if the feature does appear, it will only be available on the most recent iPhone 16 series, the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, and the future iPhone SE 4.

So, stay tuned for the official information; don't put too much emphasis on the Siri AI update specifications.
