During his three-day visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with leading tech executives, including Google's Sundar Pichai and Nvidia's Jensen Huang. The discussions focused on India's vast potential and opportunities, with Modi reassuring US business leaders of India's strong commitment to safeguarding intellectual property.

During a roundtable hosted by PM Modi in New York, notable attendees included Adobe Chairman, President, and CEO Shantanu Narayen, IBM CEO Arvind Krishna, and AMD CEO Lisa Su, among others.

Following his meeting with PM Modi, Sundar Pichai highlighted the prime minister's challenge to Google, urging the company to do more in the AI space to benefit the people of India. Pichai also emphasised Modi’s focus on fostering local innovation, saying, "The PM has pushed us to continue making and designing in India, ensuring AI serves the people." He expressed pride in having Google's Pixel phones manufactured in India, aligning with the government's Digital India vision.

Sundar Pichai, reflecting on PM Modi's vision for AI in India, stated, “He challenged us to explore AI applications in healthcare, agriculture, and is also focused on building India's AI infrastructure.”

Pichai accentuated Google’s substantial investment in AI within the country, noting, “We have numerous programs and partnerships in place, and we look forward to expanding our efforts in India.”

He also highlighted PM Modi’s “clear vision” for the opportunities AI will create, stressing the prime minister’s commitment to ensuring AI serves to benefit the people of India.
