Samsung unveiled its latest advancements in artificial intelligence for its 2025 television lineup at CES 2025, showcasing the Vision AI platform designed to enhance user interaction and redefine the role of televisions in daily life. The company aims to transform TVs from entertainment devices into intelligent systems capable of adapting to user needs and environments.

The Vision AI platform, which will be included in Samsung’s Neo QLED, OLED, QLED, and The Frame models, introduces new capabilities to improve picture quality, sound performance, and overall user experience. Samsung highlighted that on-device processing allows these TVs to adapt to their surroundings and user preferences, delivering a more personalized experience. The platform supports features such as AI upscaling for enhancing lower-resolution content, auto HDR remastering to enrich colors and details, and adaptive sound optimization for clearer audio across different types of content.

A notable feature of Vision AI is the Click to Search function, which allows users to explore content in real time without disrupting their viewing. By pressing the AI button on Samsung’s SolarCell remote, viewers can identify on-screen elements such as actors, locations, and products. Samsung also introduced the Samsung Food feature, which uses AI to recognize dishes shown on TV. The feature can generate recipes, create ingredient lists, and facilitate online grocery orders directly from the TV interface.

The 2025 lineup includes accessibility enhancements powered by AI. Live Translate provides real-time closed-caption translation for live broadcasts in multiple languages, while audio subtitles isolate dialogue and adjust its speed for visually impaired users. The integration of Samsung AI Home Security enables TVs to act as security hubs by analyzing video feeds and detecting unusual sounds or movements, with alerts sent to connected devices. Samsung has also incorporated its Knox Matrix technology to ensure end-to-end data encryption for enhanced security.

Samsung’s updated Bixby assistant now supports multitasking commands, enabling users to perform multiple actions, such as adjusting volume and changing channels, with a single command. Universal Gestures, a new feature, allows users to control their TVs through hand movements when paired with Galaxy Watches, offering a hands-free control option.

The company also announced an expansion of its Art Store, which now includes over 3,000 curated works from institutions such as MoMA and Art Basel. These artworks can be displayed on Samsung’s updated The Frame Pro, which combines premium Neo QLED technology with a sleek design, allowing TVs to double as digital art galleries when not in use.

Beyond traditional televisions, Samsung previewed innovations such as The Premiere 5, a triple-laser ultra-short-throw projector with touch interaction capabilities, and the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror, a display that provides personalized skincare analysis.
