Google has launched an experimental generative AI tool called Whisk. It’s aimed at simplifying image creation wherein a user can give prompts using images instead of textual descriptions. While defining subjects and scenes, it facilitates offering users an enhanced visual experience.

Built on Imagen 3, the AI tool produces detailed captions of input images, which in turn results in visuals that capture the essence of the input rather than replicas. While producing varied results in the attributes of height, weight, hairstyle, or skin tone, Whisk also facilitates users to edit and view prompts.

Currently available in the US, the AI tool is available to users who are enrolled in Google Labs program. While early testers have described the creative tool as an advanced alternative to traditional image editor, the AI tool primarily targets artists, designers among many.
