The monsoon session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly was marred after a walkout by the YSRCP members here on Monday.

Noisy scenes were witnessed when they disrupted the address by Governor Justice (retd) S. Abdul Nazeer in protest against, what they termed breakdown of law and order in AP after N. Chandrababu Naidu took over as Chief Minister on June 12.

Led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the party members expressed their dissent vehemently, obstructing the Governor's address.

Earlier, there was tension when YSRCP MLAs tried to enter the Assembly premises wearing black badges and khanduas. Jagan was seen shouting at the policemen who tried to prevent their entry accusing them of behaving as stooges of the TDP-led NDA Government in the State. He decried the police for seizing and tearing the posters and papers brought by MLAs and MLCs.

Jagan has already announced his decision to stage a dharna in Delhi on July 24 to demand imposition of President's Rule in AP.

TDP leaders including Finance Minister P. Keshav deplored the behaviour of the YSRCP MLAs.

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha said Jagan had failed to give details on allegations made by him on political violence and murders since June 12. She said Jagan is staging a drama to avoid Assembly session and avail 'photo opportunity' in Delhi.

In his address, the Governor accused the erstwhile YSRCP Government of detailing development by resorting to reverse tendering for Polavaram project and giving a brake to development of Amaravati by proposing three capitals under the pretext of decentralisation.
