Visakhapatnam: YSRCP president and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wondered whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give a guarantee that he will not privatise Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL)-the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and grant Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

The special status was promised by Modi in 2014 elections and RINL privatisation decision was taken during his second stint as Prime Minister, Jagan pointed out while claiming that the privatisation could be stalled till date because of stiff opposition by him. Reddy was speaking during electioneering for YSRCP in Gajuwaka in the city and Itchhapuram in Srikakulam district on Tuesday evening.
