The people of Andhra Pradesh can never forget the ‘destructive’ rule of the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the past four-and-half years by shattering the lives of the poor leading to a Statewide call for ‘we hate Jagan’, said the TDP politburo member Bonda Umamaheswara Rao on Tuesday.

He told the media at Tadepalli near here that while the Cabinet colleagues of Jagan and the ruling YSRCP leaders are claiming that ‘Nuvve Maa Nammakam Jagananna’ (you are my confidence Jagananna), the people have started raising the slogan ‘Ninnu Nammam Jagananna’ (we do not trust you Jagananna), Rao said now when the Jagan’s army started giving the slogan of ‘Why AP Needs Jagan,’ the people have begun raising the slogan of ‘We Hate Jagan’, he remarked.

The common man now strongly believes that Jagan’s thirst for money has totally damaged the lives of the people, Rao said. The TDP politburo member felt that Jagan has uttered blatant lies at the Monday’s YSRCP general body meeting and the Chief Minister has completely dismantled the capital, Amaravati.

How the Chief Minister, who could not construct even a single road in the capital region, can build three capitals as is being claimed, he asked. Did Jagan take the steps in these four years to supply irrigation water to at least a single acre of land and did he take measures to build even a single project, he questioned.

During his padayatra and while campaigning for the last Assembly elections, Jagan made 600 promises to the people but could not fulfil even a single promise, he said. The Chief Minister who promised to increase the monthly pension from Rs 2,000 paid during the TDP regime to Rs 3,000 but had miserably failed to keep his word, he added. He alleged that while promising total prohibition in phases, he is indiscriminately encouraging liquor sales to get revenue.

The Chief Minister has pushed the State into total debts as he has raised Rs 10.50 lakh crore worth of loans in the past four years, the TDP politburo member said. Why the welfare corporations of SCs, STs, BCs and minorities have been closed after Jagan came to power, he asked.
