Vizag Mayor asks Credai to support 'no plastic' campaign

City Mayor Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari on Thursday sought an active role by Credai in the beautification and plastic ban campaign launched by Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).

Visakhapatnam: City Mayor Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari on Thursday sought an active role by Credai in the beautification and plastic ban campaign launched by Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC). She was speaking after distributing notebooks and stationery kits contributed by Visakhapatnam zone of Credai to students of MPP School, Arilova.

She lauded the contribution of Credai-Visakhapatnam chapter for the beautification and other activities like "no plastic campaign" and said that the chapter should play a key role in overall development of the city in future. She said she was glad that the chapter's initiative under CSR by distributing notebooks and stationery kits to poor students. She recalled Credai-Visakhapatnam's other activities like providing modern classrooms to the ZP High School at Chandrampalem and sought permanent assets like this in backward areas like Arilova.

KSRK Raju (Sai), Credai-Visakhapatnam president, presided. Chairman Bayana Srinivasa Rao and Commissioner G Lakshmisa, spoke. Credai-Visakhapatnam joint secretaries N Srinivasa Rao, KVR Raju (Ramesh), N Vamsi Mohan, treasurer IA Shivanand, EC members K Srinivas, P Narasimha Rao, I Surya Prakasa Rao, D Madhukiran, V Murali Krishna and others were present.
