Union Ministers should take responsibility for restoration of ITIR: Jagga Reddy

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president T Jagga Reddy has asked both Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay to take responsibility for the re-establishment of the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) in Hyderabad until it is granted.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, former MLA Jagga Reddy criticised both the Union Ministers representing Telangana for levelling baseless remarks on the Musi Riverfront Development project.

"Both BJP leaders Bandi Sanjay and Kishan Reddy are saying that a huge corruption is involved in the execution of proposed Musi Riverfront Development project in Hyderabad. They are deliberately indulging in a mudslinging campaign against the State government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also executed the project of cleaning of Ganga river. Can the BJP leaders say that Modi did the river Ganga cleaning project only for corruption?" he questioned.

The Congress leader suggested that both the Union Ministers, instead of criticising the Congress government in Telangana, should take responsibility for the re-establishment of ITIR project in Hyderabad and for clearing all pending projects related to the Telangana State.

"The Congress government has created a new culture in the recently held Assembly session by giving more time to the opposition members than the ruling party. During the previous BRS government, the opposition was not given a chance to speak and there was no opportunity to mention the public issues in the Assembly," he pointed out.
