Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday said the YSRCP government has been providing pensions to over 66 lakh beneficiaries by spending over Rs 2,000 crore a month without corruption or discrimination based on caste, religion, and political affiliation during his interaction with beneficiaries near Venkatachalampalli near here.
As part of his eleventh day of Memantha Yatra, he interacted with the beneficiaries explaining the stark difference between the current YSRCP government and the previous TDP regime in disbursing the pensions. “In the TDP regime, only 39 lakh beneficiaries received Rs 1000 as a pension, but two months before the election they revised it to Rs 2,000. The YSRCP government increased the amount to Rs 3,000 but extended it to 66.34 lakh eligible beneficiaries,” he stated.
