Suspend Owaisi from Lok Sabha: BJP’s NV Subhash

Hyderabad: Lok Sabha membership of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi should be suspended for his “Jai Palestine” chant in Parliament while taking oath as MP, demanded NV Subhash, official spokesman of Telangana BJP unit.

Born and brought up on Indian soil, how can Owaisi raise a slogan in the name of a foreign country while taking oath as member of Indian parliament, he questioned and said Owaisi is free to express support to Muslims of other country on any other forum but not in auspicious place like our Parliament house.

Oath taking ceremony in the Parliament is a sacred event as elected MPs takes oath expressing their promise and will to protect the constitution, Subhash said adding that chanting name of a foreign country is like raising slogan in favour of an enemy country.

Owaisi is least bothered about the welfare of people his own community here, but, he is concerned about people of other countries, which is a mere gimmick to get cheap popularity utilising the temple of Indian democracy, he said and demanded suspension of Owaisi’s Lok Sabha membership.
