Home Minister Amit Shah assured voters in poll-bound Haryana on Sunday that if the BJP secures a third term, it will create an additional 500,000 jobs for youth based solely on merit.

He emphasised the party's commitment to providing permanent and pensionable positions for Agniveers. “We will deliver on this,” he stated. “Don’t hesitate to send your children to the Army. Both Haryana and the Centre will ensure that every Agniveer receives a pensionable job. After five years, there won’t be a single Agniveer without a pensionable position,” the Home Minister affirmed.

Speaking at a poll rally in support of BJP candidate Rao Narbir in Gurugram’s Badshahpur, Shah criticised the Congress, claiming that former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda led a government dominated by agents and property dealers.

“During the Hooda government, dealers, middlemen, and the son-in-law were in control, and corruption was widespread. Many acres of land in Gurugram were devastated to enrich the son-in-law of Delhi. Granting them another chance would only revive that era,” he alleged.

He criticised the Congress manifesto as merely a collection of “false, impractical promises that will ultimately fail.” He urged voters to consider the conditions in states governed by Congress, asking, “Do you want the same for Haryana? They make empty promises, and their supporters even praise Pakistan. If they can't be faithful to the nation, how can they be trusted to serve Haryana? Rahul is a habitual liar; don't believe him.” Shah assured the public of significant developments, including a 700-bed hospital, a 100-acre fintech hub, and metro expansion in the upcoming term.

At another rally held at the Kunjpura grain market in Karnal, Shah declared, “We will create 500,000 more jobs, allocated strictly on merit. There will be no middlemen involved, and appointment letters will be sent directly by postmasters.”

He encouraged the crowd to support all five BJP candidates from Karnal district: Ram Kumar Kashyap (Indri), Jagmohan Anand (Karnal), Harvinder Kalyan (Gharaunda), Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi (Nilokheri), and Yoginder Rana (Assandh). Additionally, he announced two major infrastructure projects for Karnal: the establishment of an industrial model township and the long-awaited Karnal-Indri railway line within the next five years.

Shah criticised the Congress party, labelling it a “divided house” as leaders such as Hooda, Kumari Selja, and Randeep Surjewala compete for the top position.

During another rally in Nangal Choudhary, he reiterated his criticisms of the Congress, highlighting the “factionalism” within its ranks. “While the battle for the CM’s post rages on within Congress, it’s evident that they won’t secure the mandate to form the government,” he asserted, confidently claiming that the BJP would continue to govern the state for a third consecutive term due to its commitment to the welfare of all sections of society over the past decade.
