Revanth Reddy Statement on Caste Survey- Caste-Based Census Telangana
The CM of Telangana, Mr Revanth Reddy, has announced the inception of the Caste Survey in Telangana, rooting to fulfill the election promises.

The Telangana chief minister and Congress leader, Mr Revanth Reddy, announced that a community-wise caste population survey will soon be conducted in the state of Telangana. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy's announcement ascertained that his government strives to fulfill all the promises in their election manifesto. This announcement on the caste demography survey Telangana followed a meeting of the CM with backward classes, minorities, and tribal welfare department officials. It is reported that the CM also instructed the officials to work on the study circle of backward classes in every Lok Sabha constituency of Telangana. There were many urges to the central government to take up a nationwide caste census as that would improve the reach of welfare and benefit schemes to those intended as the political implications of caste survey play an essential role in perpetuating institutional poverty because it determine occupation and skills.
Bihar and Andhra Pradesh states have already embarked on the caste survey, and Telangana is following suit. Revenue, SC, ST, BC, Minorities, Municipal administration, and several other department officials have been intimated to work on a plan for launching the survey next month, and along with the caste census, the CM, Revanth Reddy, also asked the concerned officials to prepare a list of the Gurukul schools functioning in rented spaces. Revanth Reddy caste census plans include his order to the officials to propose permanent Gurukul school buildings.
The CM also called for a better implementation of the scheme "Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Overseas Vidya Nidhi," launched by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Telangana, for meritorious students from backward and economically backward classes to pursue higher studies in foreign universities. Identifying the top universities based on their ranking and ensuring more students avail of the scheme are the key implementable points, stated the CM.
The CM also urged the importance of companies and corporate bodies in constructing hubs for education. He emphasized the cruciality of corporate social responsibility funds for books, uniforms, hostel necessities, and food for the students in government welfare hostels. The construction of school/college buildings will also be based on the funds from CSR. Implications of caste survey in Telangana are all set to bring growth in the reach of welfare schemes to the ones vying for them.
