Farmers Support Program in Telangana

From the State Secretariat, participants included Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, and others. They engaged with farmers from various Rythu Vedikas through video conference. 2601 Rythu Vedikas will have video conferencing equipment installed over the course of three years thanks to a programme that the state government launched with a budget of Rs 97 crore.

Impact of Rythu Nestham on the Agricultural Community

For the first stage, 110 Assembly constituencies will each have one unit installed, with a total of approximately 4.07 crore released. The digital platform is expected to play a crucial role in helping farmers increase the profitability of agriculture. Online interactions between farmers and agricultural scientists, government officials, and other specialists will provide them with crop advice and updates. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to network with other farmers across the state and exchange their stories and insights.

Farmers and agricultural extension officers will meet twice a week for the Rythu Nestham programme every Tuesday and Friday. Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agriculture University and the agriculture department have launched this programme to aid farmers.
