Revanth Reddy attempts to outshine Allu Arjun, says BJP’s Annamalai
Tamil Nadu BJP Chief K Annamalai has accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of politicizing the recent stampede incident and subsequent arrest involving National Award-winning actor Allu Arjun. Addressing the media in Chennai, Annamalai suggested that Reddy is trying to prove himself as a bigger superstar than Allu Arjun, implying that the controversy is both biased and politically motivated.
“He (Revanth Reddy) seems to be competing for the title of the biggest superstar in Telangana. It’s almost as if he wants to show he is a bigger star than Allu Arjun. Right now, he is playing the lead role in the Congress party in Telangana,” Annamalai quipped, taking a dig at the Chief Minister.
Annamalai also expressed sympathy for Allu Arjun and condemned the attack on the actor’s residence in Hyderabad. “The people who created chaos and threw stones at Allu Arjun’s house included some individuals from Revanth Reddy’s own constituency,” he revealed.
Labeling the situation as “politically motivated,” Annamalai questioned the intentions behind the allegations. “Did Allu Arjun have any motive or intention regarding the unfortunate death that occurred? Did he intend for someone to die?” he asked, emphasizing the lack of evidence for such claims.
The BJP leader further accused Revanth Reddy of harboring a bias against the actor. “After the incident, the way CM Revanth spoke about Allu Arjun clearly shows his animosity. There is no neutrality in his statements,” Annamalai remarked.
Additionally, Annamalai commented on the criticism surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Christmas celebration. “Some people want to politicize everything. The PM belongs to everyone in this country. When he goes all out to celebrate Christmas, it’s a fantastic sign of unity. When some people write letters opposing the PM’s celebration of the festival, it shows the extent to which the opposition is willing to divide people based on religion,” he said.
