Revanth gets free hand?

Anumula Revanth Reddy, president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), who has been declared by the new Chief Minister of Telangana, seems to have got a free hand to appoint his team of ministers.
This is amply evident from the fact that AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal, who announced Revanth’s name in New Delhi, did not announce any names for the position of Deputy Chief Minister.
Speculation was doing rounds that outgoing Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader and Madhira MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka would be made Deputy Chief Minister. But there was no announcement on this. Further, several senior Congress leaders including former TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy were in race for CM’s post. Dashing their hopes, Congress high command reposed faith in Revanth Reddy and appointed him as new Chief Minister besides giving him free hand in appointing ministers. Rewarding the leader who deserves the post is a sign that Congress is changing its culture for better.
