Visakhapatnam: With several big players like Infosys opening their development centres in Visakhapatnam, Randstad India, one of the leading organizations in the HR services industry also set up its office in the City of Destiny on Monday with a commitment to spend Rs 50 crore in the region on expansion in the next three years.
The company said it is accelerating its growth plans across the country and towards this, they have expanded to Andhra Pradesh. Randstad India launched a brand new office infrastructure in the city. To accommodate this rapid growth, the firm has committed to invest Rs 50 crore over the next three years in the region.
This will enable key job opportunities to the diverse local talent pool and leverage the huge potential of the IT job market in the country. Through the city office, Randstad India seeks to create over 3,000 domestic IT jobs across the country by 2023 and around 6,000 by 2024.
The office was inaugurated in the presence of Gudivada Amarnath, Minister for Industries, Commerce and IT and the key leadership team of Randstad India. In addition to the corporate headquarters in Bangalore and network offices in all metros, the new office space in Visakhapatnam doubles the organisation's footprint and supports Randstad India's growth strategy in emerging cities. Visakhapatnam is a hub of potential candidates equipped with futuristic technology skills like python, business intelligence, machine learning, full stack development and animation/graphics as per Randstad India's research.
The decision to open an office here is also based on these findings, to tap key talent available in tier 2 and 3 cities post Covid-19.
Speaking at the launch, PS Viswanath, MD and CEO, Randstad India said, "The decision to expand our presence into Vizag was a logical step in our business growth strategy as the area is rich with diverse talent from reputed colleges and universities. This is a great opportunity for us to leverage and further expand our staffing capabilities, especially the fast-growing Randstad Technologies business as well as increase our ability to service current and future job market requirements."
The HR services leader will kick-start its Vizag operations by onboarding 100 employees, as a sourcing hub for domestic IT recruitment for leading companies across India. The organisation will also offer in-demand IT skilling programmes to candidates through its fully-funded initiative-Randstad Skilling Academy, which will further enable budding professionals in Vizag to be employment-ready. Currently, Randstad India has more than 1500 non-IT staff placed in Andhra Pradesh to service various clients across industries.
