Portfolios to AP ministers: Pawan is AP Deputy CM, gets Rural Development; HRD& IT go to Lokesh

Vijayawada: After maintaining suspense for nearly 48 hours, Chief Minister N Chandrabbu Naidu has allocated portfolios to the 25-member Council of Ministers announcing Jana Sena Party president and actor K. Pawan Kalyan as the Deputy Chief Minister.

Naidu will hold portfolios of GAD, Law & Order, Public Enterprises and all other portfolios not allotted to anyone while allocating Pawan Kalyan Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Rural Water Supply, Environment, Science & Technology.

TDP general secretary and Naidu's son Lokesh will look after HRD, IT, Electronics & Communications, RTG. TDP State president K Atchan Naidu has been given Agriculture, Cooperation, Marketing, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries. Kollu Ravindra from Machilipatnam will be the new Minister for Mines, Geology and Excise. No. 2 in JSP and its political affairs committee head Nadendla Manor has been sanctioned food and Fertilisers, Consumer Affairs. Ponguru Narayana who held Municipal Administration and Urban Development during Naidu's previous tenure as the Chief Minister will retain the same departments.

TDP mahila wing president and Payakaraopeta MLA Anitha Vangalapudi will be the new Minister for Home Affairs and Disaster Management. BJP's lone representative Satya Kumar Yadav will look after Health, Family Welfare & Medical Education. Dr Nimmala Ramanaidu has been given water resources development. N Md Farook from Rayalaseema will be incharge of Law & Justice, Minority Welfare. Anam Ramnarayan Reddy will be the Endowments Minister. Finance, Planning, Commercial Taxes and Legislative Affairs have been allotted to Payyavula Keshav from Anantapur, who served as the chairman of Public Accounts Committee when TDP was in the Opposition during past five years.

Revenue, Registration and Stamps has been allotted to Anagani Satya Prasad while Kolusu Parthasarathy has been given Housing and Information & Public Relations. Dr Dola Bala Veerananeya Swami will look after Social Welfare, Disabled and Senior Citizens, Sachivalayam and Village Volunteers. Gotipati Ravi Kumar will be the new Energy Minister.

Kandula Ramesh has been allocated Tourism, Culture and Cinematography. Lone ST representative Gummadi Sandhya Rani will look after Women and Child Welfare, Tribal Welfare while BC Janardhan Reddy has been given R&B, infrastructure and investments.

TG Bharath will be holding the portfolios of Industries & Commerce, Food Processing. S Savitha will look after BC welfare, Economically Weaker Sections Welfare, Handlooms and Textiles.

Vasametti Subhash has been allocated Labour, Factories, Boilers and Insurance Medical Services. Kondapalli Srinivas got MSME, SERP, NRI Empowerment and Relations. Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy will be the Minister for Transport, Youth and Sports.

Meanwhile, Naidu congratulated Pawan Kalyan on becoming the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. "I congratulate all my colleagues in the Cabinet on being assigned their portfolios. Together, we have taken a solemn oath to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh and usher in an era of People's Governance."
