Visakhapatnam: TDP politburo member and former Minister Ch Ayyanna Patrudu has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have an aerial view of Rushikonda hills during his visit to Visakhapatnam on November 11.
In a letter, he said Rushikonda, the most picturesque locale in Visakhapatnam, has lost everything as Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is involved in 'unauthorised' constructions on the hillock, where AP Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) was once operating a sea-facing resort.
He said despite court orders, the hill has been totally destroyed to facilitate a super-structure to either house a new resort or Chief Minister's Camp Office. The State government wants to make Visakhapatnam the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Of late, construction at Rushikonda has become a hot topic with the authorities preventing political parties including BJP from visiting the erstwhile APTDC resort site.
