Srikakulam: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Sunday launched ‘Sankharavam,’ a padayatra programme to prepare the party fast approaching elections in areas where he could not take up ‘Yuva Galam’ due to disruption caused ins schedule after the arrest of his father and party national president N Chandrababu Naidu.
Described as Yuva Galam 2.0 by his supporters, Lokesh undertook padayatra from Itchhapuram, a prosperous town with a lot of coconut and cashew plantations bordering Odisha’s Ganjam district.
Among others, TDP State president K Atchan Naidu, Srikakulam MP Kinjarapu Ram Mohana Rao and Itchhapuram MLA Bendalam Ashok accorded a rousing reception to him before launching of the padayatra.

“I really feel proud to begin my Sankharavam programme at Itchhapuram,” Lokesh said and asked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, to be ready ‘Sidhham’ to go to jail after getting dislodged in the Assembly elections.
