IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao’s US tour continues to be punctuated with highly productive meetings as companies announced establishment of their centers in Telangana, expansion plans and explored prospective collaborations. During the meetings in Houston, US, the minister pitched Telangana as an investment-friendly State and an ideal destination to set up operations of companies.
Telangana Principal Secretary of IT and Industries Departments Jayesh Ranjan; Special Secretary, Investment Promotion & NRI Affairs E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Director of Telangana Digital Media Wing Konatham Dileep, Chief Relations Officer Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri and Director - Aerospace and Defence Praveen PA were also present at the meetings.
Mondee Holdings to set up a CoE
Mondee Holdings to set up a Technology Centre of Excellence in Telangana generating employment for about 2,000 people. The announcement was made after Prasad Gundumogula, Founder, Chairman, CEO of Mondee Holdings, along with the leadership team met KT Rama Rao in Houston, USA.
Storable shares expansion plans
The leadership team of Storable, which established its first Global Development Centre (GDC) in Hyderabad recently, met with the minister and shared their expansion plans. The company also proposed to partner with the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) and to engage with the local educational institutions. The leadership team of Storable that met KTR in Houston includes Jonathan Lewis, VP of People Operations and Neil Verma, VP and General Counsel.
Rite Software development centres
The leadership team of US-based Rite Software, a leader in digital solutions provider in the ERP domain, met Rama Rao in Houston, and invited the Minister to inaugurate their new Development Centre in Hyderabad on June 30, 2023. This new centre will provide employment opportunities for over 500 people this year and also establish collaborative partnerships with some of the esteemed academic institutions of Telangana.
During the meeting, representatives of Rite Software apprised the Minister of the firm's future plans and their prospective expansion to tier-II cities of Telangana like Warangal. Rite Software is considering to start a Development Centre in Warangal in near future.
The Charles Schwab Corp
The leadership team of The Charles Schwab Corporation, an American financial services giant, led by Dennis Howard, Global CIO met Rama Rao in Houston. Exploring potential collaboration opportunities was a key focus of the meeting. During the discussion, KTR highlighted the numerous advantages of making investments in Hyderabad.
Rave Gears’ mfg plant in TS
The leadership team from Texas-based 'Rave Gears' had a meeting with Rama Rao at Houston, and discussed prospective collaboration opportunities. Following the meeting, the company expressed interest in establishing a manufacturing plant in Telangana.
Tekgence to set up adv tech centre
The delegation from Tekgence, a global supply chain and digital solutions company, met Rama Rao in Houston and discussed prospective investment opportunities in Telangana. After the meeting, the company expressed their interest to set up an Advanced Technology Center (ATC) on Product Development and Design Thinking in Hyderabad.
