After the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) alleged involvement of Alair MLA Gongidi Sunitha Mahender Reddy in a land scam, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and minister KT Rama Rao dared the TPCC members to come with evidences. He assured to take action against any BRS leader if there is a substantial proof of illegal possession of land.
TPCC Spokesperson Boreddy Ayodhya Reddy recently announced that Alair MLA is involved in land grabbing activities. Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) has allegedly exempted 15 acre out of 108-acre land in an industrial park in Turkapally only to extend undue benefit to Gongidi Sunitha. That land is currently in the name of her followers.
He further said, “The State government is acquiring the land from farmers at Rs 15.50 lakh per acre, while its current market value is around Rs 70 lakh per acre. Once the remaining land is also acquired, the value of the land will increase up to Rs 2 crore per acre. Investigation should be done on this. Meanwhile, the cheques given to 43 farmers as compensation for their lands have bounced.”
KTR dismissed the allegations made by the TPCC Spokesperson as baseless. Speaking to Bizz Buzz, the minister said: “The TPCC members are creating these rumours to gain political mileage. If they really have any evidence against Gongidi Sunitha, let them show it off publicly. We will take immediate action on her.”
