Vijayawada: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday launched 'Visit Andhra Pradesh-2023' campaign to promote tourism in the State and released the brochure to mark the occasion.

The initiative was kick-started on the occasion of World Tourism Day at the Tadepalli camp office of the Chief Minister. Later he flew to Tirupati to take part in the annual Brahmotsavam celebrations of Lord Venkateswara organised at Tirumala by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

An award function was also organised on the occasion at Tirupati wherein tourism minister R K Roja said the government is keen on showcasing the tourism potential of the State under various themes to improve revenue and generate employment opportunities to many.

At Tadepalli, the Chief Minister unveiled the GIS web portal to guide visitors to the tourist destinations. The Tourism department should play a key role in promoting tourism, travel and hospitality fields, he said.
