Has God asked him to forget the corruption allegations once the so-called corrupt opposition leader joins the BJP or the alliance? In short, is it a divine act that he invented washing machine politics?

Mujra. Priyanka Gandhi did not use the word even for blasting PM Narendra Modi for his Mujra jibe at the opposition. I was also reluctant to repeat what Modi said. But then, I realised that he himself declared that he was not born biologically, and that god had sent him to earth for a mission. Has God made him to use Mujra jibe at the opposition?

Aam Admi Party leader Sanjay Singh apprehended that all that is left for Modi is come down to the level of directly abusing the opposition leaders. Modi is apparently worried over losing the Lok Sabha elections.

An online dictionary defines mujra as a form of exotic dance in India, traditionally performed by courtesans - prostitutes, especially one with wealthy or upper-class clients - under the Mughal Empire as well as in modern forms.

While criticising the opposition for allegedly favouring the Muslims with reservations, Modi said in an election rally that the leaders could perform Mujra in front of their vote banks, but he would not allow reduction of quotas for the SC, ST and OBCs in favour of the Muslims.

Isn’t it highly unbecoming of the Prime Minister to speak such a language? Remember, it is the same PM Modi who told a TV news channel that he would not like to speak Hindu-Muslim language and the day he does it he is not fit to be in public life. Yet, the god-send non-biological being keeps repeating the Hindu-Muslim rhetoric.

Modi said he used to feel that he was biologically born till his mother was alive. Please recall that he made a public show of his mother whether she stood in a queue at a bank for exchanging currency during demonetisation or when he met to seek her blessings. Nothing unusual about seeking mother’s blessings but who does it in full three-camera glare? The answer, obviously, is Modi!

After his mother passed away, Modi said, with his experiences he got convinced that God sent him. “Critics and leftists could tear my statement into shreds, but I feel that I do not draw my energy from this biological body,” he said. He is destined by God to perform some duties. Modi went on to explain in detail that he is a mere instrument in God’s hand. Hence, he believes that God is making him do whatever he does. So, God made him use Mujra expression for the opposition?

Do we have to believe that God made him say that the Congress would take away our ancestral wealth and distribute it among infiltrators and those who have many children? Did God make him ask voters if they want Vote Jihad or Ram Rajya? Of all the things, God made him say the INDIA bloc would take away one buffalo if you have two and tell women that the opposition will snatch away even Mangal Sutras – the symbol of a Hindu married woman.

God also asked him to say that the Congress will give the entire reservation quotas to Muslims. Ridiculous. As Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said PM should behave like a statesman and RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav even said that the BJP workers would not appreciate Modi’s language. Priyanka Gandhi said no PM has ever used such words as Modi did. Everybody respects the PM’s seat and it is for him to maintain the dignity and decorum.

More and more questions over Modi’s so-called godly actions are bound to arise. Has God made him prompt ED, I-T and CBI to conduct raids on the opposition and talk loudly about corruption by only non-BJP and alliance leaders? Has God asked him to forget the corruption allegations once the so-called corrupt opposition leader joins the BJP or the alliance? In short, is it a divine act that he invented washing machine politics?

On the one hand PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah keep harping that the law takes its own course and that the investigation agencies (caged parrots?) act independently on merits, while on the other they keep threatening that they will send corrupt to jails.

The latest in the series is the Modi’s warning that Tejaswi Yadav would be sent to jail for the RJD young leader’s involvement in allegedly taking plots against jobs. This job-for-plot scam is never explained as no one asks. Modi did not take Yadav’s name but gave enough hints such as the leader who is doing helicopter rides daily for his poll campaigns. Under severe back ache, Tejaswi has been using helicopter and aggressively campaigning, ignoring doctors’ advice for bed rest and doing 235+ rallies.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal alleged that Modi has been sending opposition leaders to jail. Now, the PM himself has now confirmed it with his threats to Tejaswi, the Delhi CM said.

Having run out of ideas after Machli-Mutton-Mughal-Muslim and now Mujra jibes, Modi seems to have come out with a new guarantee to send his critics and opponents to jail.

Use of religion and personal attacks are prohibited under the model code of conduct. But who cares for the code if the Election Commission ignores the violations.

Consider the latest note from the EC to BJP on the use of religion for election campaign which has come after the fifth phase of voting – bit late for any correction since the words in the name of God and the divisive campaigns have done their damage. Despite the EC diktat not to use divisive language, Modi continues to play his Hindu-Muslim card.

This is a highly disturbing trend which has started with the cow vigilante by fringe elements and now transformed into a poll plank with the Prime Minister himself raising anti-Muslim rhetoric.

If Modi is not biological, as he says, is he fit to contest the poll? What has he written in the column Name of father/mother/spouse while filing the nomination paper?

This again is amplified by campaigns such as Jisney-Raam-Ko-Laya-Hum-Usey-Laayenge and using Lord Ram’s pictures during the campaign as a direct ploy to polarise vote banks.

Then, we have the spectacle of BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra saying that Lord Jagannath is Modi’s devotee. Patra had to apologise in the face of massive trolling. The Prime Minister gave scores of “exclusive” interviews. Less said the better about the one-sided content. But one glaring picture (pun intended) has emerged when the PM was flanked by Lord Krishna’s idol in an interview to Door Darshan.

India is a country of gods and godmen and women. One can preach and practise whatever one likes if one does not spread hatred and cause social disharmony. But politicising this religious belief and culture is not good for democracy.

Just imagine the scenario if all religious groups start using their belief and followers and devotees for politics and if their leaders give political speeches under the garb of religion! It will lead to acrimony. It will destroy social harmony and peace. Imagine the scenario wherein different political leaders start claiming that they are messengers of their own gods. Those who fight on political lines will begin to quarrel on religious grounds.

It is time we ended this right now. Let wiser counsel prevail on the Prime Minister that he is the Pratham Sevak and that he is biological and a human being. Just be human and Manav Seva is Madhav Seva – service to mankind is service to God!
