GMR arm gets new identity

Hyderabad: GMR Goa International Airport Limited, a subsidiary of GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited, on Tuesday unveiled its brand logo of the upcoming Goa international airport.
The Mopa airport in Goa is being developed in stages. Its initial capacity can serve about 4.4 million passengers annually, which will be further scaled depending upon the demand arising from footfall. This airport is designed to function as a full-service airport which will cater to domestic and international passenger besides freight services.
RV Sheshan, CEO, GGIAL said, "We are happy to announce the launch of our new Goa Airport brand identity logo. The new logo is inspired by the sun, sand, palm trees, sea, sky, earth and fun which define Goa."
The Goa International Airport is an under-construction greenfield airport that is being built at Mopa in Pernem taluk of the North Goa district. GGIAL is currently developing the airport at a cost of around Rs 3,000 crore. The new airport, which will function along with the existing Dabolim airport, will be inaugurated after December 8 depending on the schedule of Narendra Modi, CM Pramod Sawant had recently said.
