November 20, 2024, New Delhi: After fierce election campaigns, the exit poll results for Jharkhand and Maharashtra were made public, with differing predictions for each state. On November 23, the official results will be revealed.

The BJP-led alliance (BJP+) is expected to win Maharashtra, according to five well-known exit polls: Matrize, Peoples Pulse, Chanakya Strategies, Times Now-JVC, and Poll Diary. A hung legislature in the state is predicted by three further surveys: Lokshahi Marathi-Rudra, P-Marq, and Dainik Bhaskar. Dainik Bhaskar, Times Now-JVC, and P-Marq predict a hung house, while Matrize, Peoples Pulse, and Axis My India point to a slight edge for the ruling NDA alliance. Axis My India, on the other hand, thinks the INDIA coalition will easily win Jharkhand.

There are 288 seats in Maharashtra.Important Exit Poll Forecasts: According to a number of exit polls, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) would win between 69 and 150 seats, while the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is expected to win between 122 and 186 seats.

Polls predict that the 81-seat Jharkhand election will be fiercely contested. The INDIA alliance is predicted to win 25–39 seats, while the NDA is predicted to win 25–42 seats. The INDIA coalition is predicted to win 53 seats by a landslide, according to certain reports (Axis My India).

Today, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Maharashtra held its single-phase election, which comprised 288 assembly constituencies. The opposition MVA, which is made up of the Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and the NCP (Sharad Pawar group), is facing the ruling Mahayuti alliance, which is made up of the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). Exit poll highlights:

Maharashtra: Poll Diary projects that the BJP+ will win 122-186 seats and the MVA will win 69-121 seats.

According to Chanakya Strategies, the MVA will receive 130–138 seats, while the BJP coalition will win 152-160 seats.

A significant BJP+ advantage with 175–195 seats and MVA at 85–112 seats is predicted by Peoples Pulse.

Lokshahi Marathi-Rudra and Dainik Bhaskar forecast a hung assembly and a close contest between the MVA and NDA.

Jharkhand: Thanks to Axis My India, the INDIA alliance holds 53 seats, while the NDA only holds 25.

According to Matrize and Peoples Pulse, the NDA will win 25–30 seats while the INDIA bloc will win 42–27 seats in a close race.

Times Now-JVC predicts that the contest will be close, with India and the NDA each vying for 30 to 40 seats.

The Shiv Sena's Shaina NC said she was confident the Mahayuti will win in Maharashtra and called the exit polls an "exact" estimate.

BJP leader RP Singh shared Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's optimism regarding the NDA's chances in Jharkhand, forecasting an NDA win in both states.

The exit poll's analysis is as follows: Despite the wide range of exit poll forecasts, senior political observers pointed out that important factors like urban voter turnout and local leadership will have a significant impact on the outcome.

A number of celebrities, including Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, were spotted voting in Maharashtra, urging people to take part in the democratic process.
