In a major prediction ahead of the Delhi Assembly election results, Pradeep Gupta-led Axis My India exit poll has forecasted a strong comeback for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to the survey, the BJP is likely to secure between 45 and 55 seats in the 70-member assembly, ousting the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

If these projections hold true, AAP, which was eyeing a third consecutive term, may be reduced to 15-25 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress is expected to win at most one seat, reflecting its continued struggle in the capital.

Who Leads as the People's CM Choice?

Despite BJP's projected lead, the survey suggests that AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal remains the first choice for the chief minister's post. He is followed by BJP leaders Parvesh Verma and Manoj Tiwari in popularity rankings.

District-wise Projections

New Delhi District: BJP is likely to secure 7 out of 10 seats, while AAP may win the remaining 3.

North East Delhi: BJP is projected to win 6 seats, with AAP taking 4.

South East Delhi: A close contest is expected, with both BJP and AAP predicted to win 5 seats each.

Consensus Among Exit Polls

Axis My India's predictions align with most other exit polls released on Wednesday, which also anticipate a comfortable victory for the BJP in Delhi. This would mark a major setback for AAP, which had been aiming for a hattrick in the state.

With the official vote counting set to begin on February 8 at 8 AM, all eyes are now on whether these exit poll predictions will translate into reality. Stay tuned for live updates!
