Coromandel rolls out two initiatives

Kakinada: Coromandel International Limited, India’s leading agri solutions provider in the business of fertilisers, crop protection chemicals, bio products, specialty nutrients, organic fertilisers and retail on Friday announced the inauguration of two community initiatives in the city - RO plant at BC Colony, Vakalapudi and two additional classrooms at the Government High School, Vakalapudi. Coromandel believes in the welfare of all its stakeholders and regularly works on various CSR activities in Kakinada. Since 2014, Coromandel has been supporting the Kakinada General Hospital paediatric ward by providing and maintaining the ICU and Neonatal ICU.
Officials said the company provides affordable medical care to the society through Coromandel Hospital here. In addition to medical support, Coromandel is running a programme for providing scholarships for 130 girls in Kakinada, supporting the infrastructure development in seven government schools of Kakinada by providing them with safe drinking water, hand wash stations, toilets and classrooms.
The new initiatives were launched in the presence of Amir Alvi, EVP and Head--Manufacturing (Fertilisers), Srinivasa Rao, Senior AVP, Head--Manufacturing (Kakinada), and others.
