Hyderabad: Congress has no moral right to talk about the current supply in Telangana as that party failed to give quality power supply even for a few hours a day, said BRS Working President KT Rama Rao while campaigning in Kamareddy, from where Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is contesting.
KTR said, “Current wires were used to dry clothes during Congress governance but now we fear of touching them. However, that the situation in the State had changed after KCR became the Chief Minister."
While speaking at the roadshow, he said that there were beedi workers in 16 States but Telangana is the only State where they are given pensions. There was a pension of Rs 200 per month during the Congress government but after Telangana formation in 2014 KCR became CM and gave Rs 2,000 as monthly pension which was 10 times more. The pension amount would be increased to Rs 5,000 after KCR becomes CM for the third time, he assured.
Ridiculing the Congress party for their ignorance of the farming sector, KTR said that Congress leaders felt Rythu Bandhu was a waste and wanted to remove Dharani and bring the Patwari system into the place. He asked the people to reject such leaders and vote for BRS that is working for the welfare of farmers in the State.
He criticised the statement of Congress leader Revanth Reddy who was talking about providing only a three-hour power supply to the farmers who could use 10 pH pump sets in their fields. He said, "Congress leaders were ignorant and had no knowledge on the farming sector."
KTR stated that the Kamareddy constituency will see a complete transformation as KCR was contesting from here. He questioned the people whether Rahul Gandhi or PM Modi would love Telangana as CM KCR does. He appealed to vote for BRS and elect CM KCR with a big majority.
