Visakhapatnam: CII Indian Women Network (IWN) Andhra Pradesh celebrated International Self-care Day by organising a 'health conclave' here on hybrid model. The session held on Wednesday was attended by about 300 participants, both virtually and physically. At the inaugural session, Dr T Vasudha, Chairperson, CII IWN AP and head-wellness, Brandix India Apparel City, emphasised on the need for prioritising self care.

Lakshmi Mukkavilli, Deputy Chairwoman, Cll IWN Southern Region and MD, Patra India BPO Services Pvt Ltd, addressed the participants followed by Dr Ramdevi Gourineni, MD, Amara Hospital joining virtually and giving her special address on importance of sleep and self-care and tips for better sleep habits.

A panel discussion on the criticality of self-care for women was ably moderated by Dr. Sugandhi, convenor-health and wellness vertical, CII IWN AP and medical director, AS Raja Voluntary Blood Bank and Trust.

The speakers included Dr Meghanath Yenni, senior consultant and diabetologist at Care Hospitals and First Choice Clinics focused on self care from a physician's perspective. Deepti Srinivasan, co-founder, Resilience Works stressed on mental wellness and emotional well being in caring for self, particularly in case of working women. Anjali, founder and chief nutrition consultant Starlite Nutrition Centre reiterated the relevance of nutrition in self-care.

Srinija Giduturi, co-convenor, Health and Wellness Vertical, CII IWN AP spoke on stress scale and self-care. Dr D Raj Purnima, physiotherapist conducted a hands-on session titled 'caring for postures' explaining the need to listen to our body and brace for every busy day through maintaining postures and simple movements.
