Bhatti assures payment of crop insurance premium for farmers
The previous BRS government had not implemented the crops insurance scheme and did not care for the hardships of farmers. But, the Congress government will be implementing crop insurance scheme, he pointed out.

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has informed that the State government will not be confined to loan waiver scheme and it will also pay crop insurance premium on behalf of farmers.
Speaking at a programme after launching the second phase of crop loan waiver on the premises of Assembly here on Tuesday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that as promised by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy before Parliament elections, the State government was implementing loan waiver and would complete it's process before August-end.
“We have started the second phase in the same month to release Rs 6,190 crore to 5,45,407 families. Overall in the two phases, the State government is releasing Rs 12,289 crore to credit it into 17.91 lakh bank accounts of 16.29 lakh families," Bhatti informed.

Stating that the State government is releasing Rs 31,000 crore through one account to all the banks in Telangana under the farmers’ loan waiver scheme, the Deputy Chief Minister said it is significant as for the first time in the nation’s and banking history, such a large amount is credited into all the banks simultaneously.
He suggested that the bankers with a large heart should cooperate with farmers and sanction fresh loans immediately.
Bhatti Vikramarka, who is also the Finance Minister, thanked the All India Congress Committeee, Chief Minister and cabinet colleagues for giving him the opportunity to take up the massive programme of crop loan waiver. (NSS).
