Vijayawada: Why poor should not be allotted house-sites, Andhra Pradesh Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh on Thursday sought an explanation from TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu.
The Minister told the media at the central office of YSRCP at Tadepalli that the government had to fight for the poor in the AP High Court and the Supreme Court at a time when the TDP and the media close to it spread falsehood on the decision to allot sites to the poor in the R-5 zone created at Amaravati. He said Naidu and supporters spent crores of rupees to stop distribution of house sites to the poor.
He said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will not only give sites to 50,000 families but also get their houses built and said, in the 2024 elections the TDP will be completely wiped out as the people are fed with its cheap politics. At a recent review meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officials to complete distribution of houses sites in Amaravati and deliver 8.64 lakh houses under Pedalandariki Illu-Navaratnalu programme.
