AP govt releases white paper on Polavaram

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday released a white paper on the Polavaram project blaming the erstwhile YSRCP government for changing the contract against advice and causing damage to diaphragm wall due to mishandling.

After a power-point presentation, he said YSRCP was totally responsible for breaches caused to the diaphragm wall needing Rs 450 crore for repair and nearly Rs 1,000 crore for construction of a new wall. Naidu said experts from America and Canada have been given advice to expedite the construction by setting right the technical issues.
