Penamaluru (Krishna dist): Making it clear to the officials of the Agriculture Department that there should not be even an iota of error during grain purchase, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that accuracy should also be maintained while assessing the moisture content.
After examining the grain purchase process at Rythu Seva Centre at Ganguru in Penamaluru Assembly segment of Krishna district, he pointed out that after the TDP-led NDA Government came to power in the State, the amount is being credited to the accounts of farmers within 24 hours of purchasing the grain.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that if mechanisation in farming can play a major role the farmers will not only get better productivity but also can reduce labour. Naidu asserted that the main motive of the coalition government is to bring down the investment in farming and also provide relief to the farming community by bringing them out of the debt burden besides increasing their income.
The Rythu Seva Centre staff members explained to the Chief Minister the process of procuring grain from the farmers while the farmers informed him how they are marketing their products. The farmers told Naidu that the yield is much better than last year and also they could save an additional Rs5,000 per acre.
