Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s manifesto for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 on Sunday, presenting it as a "vision document" that outlines key initiatives aimed at advancing the state’s future. Among the highlights of the manifesto are the ambitious "Mission Olympics 36," increased support for farmers, the "Ladki Behen Yojana," and comprehensive healthcare reforms.

While addressing the gathering, Shah emphasized that the manifesto reflects the true aspirations of the people of Maharashtra. "Maharashtra has always led the way for an independent India and for social reform, and the aspirations of this state are embodied in the manifesto," he said. "This manifesto captures the essence of Maharashtra’s spirit, a state that has always been at the forefront of progress. Even Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj started his journey here, and this manifesto stands as a testament to the vision of a prosperous Maharashtra."

Shah further reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting farmers, empowering women, and ensuring a secure future for the state. He also made a direct challenge to the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, the BJP’s primary competition in the elections, particularly questioning Uddhav Thackeray's ability to secure support for icons like Veer Savarkar and Balasaheb Thackeray from Congress leaders.

The event, attended by senior BJP leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar, and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, also saw JP Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, who led the manifesto drafting committee, speak about the party’s economic vision. Mungantiwar emphasized the BJP's commitment to achieving a five trillion-dollar economy and assured that the promises made in the manifesto would be honored after the party's victory.

Fadnavis, during his address, shared the BJP’s vision for Maharashtra's future, aligning it with the national goal of a developed India. He highlighted the party’s achievements and ongoing projects, expressing confidence in the trust of the people of Maharashtra in the BJP and Mahayuti alliance. Among the 25 key promises outlined were initiatives like the Ladki Behen Yojanas and farm loan waivers.

Fadnavis also elaborated on the “Bhavantar Yojana,” which aims to empower farmers by allowing them to purchase inputs at favorable prices, with funds transferred directly to their accounts once the Model Code of Conduct ends. He further mentioned measures to regulate the prices of life-saving medicines and medical devices to ensure affordability, alongside plans to generate employment for 25 lakh people.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections will take place on November 20, and the BJP is hopeful of securing a decisive victory with its vision for the state’s growth and prosperity.
