AIL Dixon to invest Rs 80 cr on expansion at Kopparthi EMC

The company also plans to launch another unit with an investment of Rs 125.26 cr providing employment to 836 persons

Vijayawada: AIL Dixon Technologies’ project at Kopparthi EMC inYSR Kadapa district, which has already invested Rs 127 crore, will invest Rs 80 crore on expansion to take up manufacturing laptops, tablets and surveillance cameras.

The existing project was inaugurated by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during his visit to the EMC on Monday. The company will launch another unit with an investment of Rs 125.26 crore providing employment to 836 persons.

Channel Play will start a unit at Kopparthi with an investment of Rs 100 crore for manufacturing audio systems. It will provide employment to 2,000 persons.

The stone was also laid for the unit of the Virtualmaze Softys Private Limited at Kopparthi EMC.

Virtualmaze Softys, which has been engaged in virtual map-based software solutions since 2007, has come forward to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles, GPS tracker systems and smart PCB devices in an area of 7.2 acres with an investment of Rs.72.10 crore providing employment to 1350 persons. TeknoDome, a subsidiary of the Gulf-based Alista Group will manufacture domestic appliances, home entertainment utilities, kitchenware, smart watches, gaming products, car audio systems and IT products in an area of 2.95 acres investing Rs.52 crore providing employment to 200 persons.
