Work with honesty and dedication: Ponguleti tells MCRHRD employees

Hyderabad: Minister for Revenue and Housing Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy had an interactive session with the employees of Stamps and Registrtaion department at MCRHRD here on Sunday.
On the occasion, the minister asked the employees to work with honesty and dedication towards achieving the goal envisaged in Indiramma rajyam.
He wanted the employees to provide quality service in a transparent manner to the people who come for registrations without giving scope for any complaints.
The employees have been assured that the necessary budgetary requirements towards rents, electricity charges, hire vehicle charges, etc will be cleared soon.
Referring to the need for permanent government buildings for the registration department, the Minister said a three-pronged strategystr is being worked out under which all the registration offices will start functioning in government buildings in couple of years.
Srinivas Reddy directed the officials to study best practices in the registration departments of other States so as to adopt them in Telangana.
He also stressed the need to adopt new technologies which would enable to provide seamless service to the public.
Secretary to Government and Commissioner Stamps and Registrations Buddha Prakash Jyothi gave a brief overview of the functioning of the registration department. He informed that the revenue of the department which was Rs 2,746 crore in the year 2014 had risen to 14,588 crore last year.
Later, minister Srinivas Reddy released the annual report of the registration and stamps department. Senior officials of the department presented their views on revenue mobilisation, functioning of the department, own buildings for the department, budget requirement for the department. Additional IG Venkat Rajesh, DIGs, District Registrars, sub registrars and other staff of the department participated in the interactive session.
