Vivek slams KTR for spreading propaganda against his media houses
Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy, Congress MLA
Hyderabad: Congress MLA Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy has lambasted BRS working president KT Rama Rao for spreading malicious campaign against his media houses-V6 news channel and Velugu Telugu newspaper, linking them to Karnataka's infamous Valmiki Corporation scam.
Speaking to the media persons at the Secretariat here on Monday, the Congress MLA said he had established V6 news channel and Velugu newspaper for highlighting the Telangana movement and other issues faced by the people."Despite the challenges posed by then erstwhile Andhra Pradesh chief minister
Kiran Kumar Reddy, the media houses continued to showcase Telangana’s culture without hesitation. After the formation of Telangana State, V6 and Velugu newspapers had exposed the irregularities and flaws in projects like Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha. Even though former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son KT Rama Rao attempted to ban these two organisations, they couldn't do much due to the public support we received," Vivek Venkatasamy disclosed.
He also alleged that during the BRS regime, his media houses faced discrimination and were denied government advertisements, added that attempts were made to suppress media houses. Alleging that KT Rama Rao doesn’t understand the difference between V6 channel and V6 Business Solutions, but was making baseless allegations, Vivek Venkatasamy clarified that V6 Business Solutions is based in Bengaluru and KTR has made accusations without even knowing who the directors and founders are. "There is no connection between V6 news media and V6 Business Solutions. Just because KT Rama Rao saw the name V6, he spoke recklessly without proper understanding," the Congress MLA said.
