Hyderabad: YSRCP chief and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today said their party leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s arrest reflects the deteriorating law and order situation in the State. He alleged that CM Chandrababu conspired against Vamsi and made his arrest.

Speaking to media persons after meeting with Vallabhaneni Vamsi at Vijayawada sub-jail on Tuesday through Mulaqat mode, Jagan asked what was the case filed by the police against Vamshi? “Vallabhaneni Vamsi's name does not appear anywhere in the TDP's complaint. Sathyavardhan, who worked in the TDP office, said Vamsi had not done anything wrong. TDP leader Pattabhi and his followers together attacked the SC leader. However, false cases were filed against Vamsi. The Gannavaram TDP office was attacked due to the instigation of Pattabhi, who spoke in a derogatory manner to provoke Vamsi. Pattabhi was sent by Chandrababu and attacked in Gannavaram.

Satyavardhan was summoned to Mangalagiri and another complaint was lodged. Vamsi's name is nowhere to be found in the case. Vamsi was targeted when the TDP government came to power. The case has been reopened,” he alleged. He also alleged that Chandrababu filed false allegations on Vamsi by claiming that Gannavaram TDP office was burnt down and that the office site belonged to SCs and STs.

Jagan made it clear that neither the TDP office was set on fire not the office belong to the SCs and STs. He alleged that Chandrababu has filed non-bailable cases against Vamsi so that he did not get bail and added that they had been prevented from getting bail for several months. He said cases had been filed against 44 other YSRCP leaders.

Stating that they have seen what happened in the case of the post of vice-chairman in Piduguralla, he said YSRCP won 33 corporators in the area . “However, the TDP had announced that it would win the vice-chairman’s post on its own. In Tuni too, the YSRCP won 30 out of 30 seats. The same is being done in Palakonda. Democracy is being undermined throughout these acts by the ruling TDP. The police are also acting arbitrarily. False cases are being filed,” he alleged.

He claimed that under the coalition rule, democracy was destroyed and industrialists were threatened by the ruling party leaders. “The police are being used at will. The police should not salute to Chandrababu, but to the three lions on their cap. TDP will not be in power forever. Our party will come to power tomorrow. After coming to power, we will not spare those who have done injustice. Those who have done injustice will be stripped of their clothes and made to stand up before people. Even if the officials retire, we will bring them to fore even if they hide beyond the seven seas. Those who have done injustice will be brought before the law. The day is near when people and God will punish them,” Jagan added.
