Union Minister Kishan Reddy lashes out at DMK Party
Kishan condemns DMk stance on three-language aspect

Hyderabad: Union Minister Kishan Reddy today came down heavily against DMK party from Tamil Nadu and alleged that the DMK party and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin had been engaged in a divisive debate for the last two months.
Stating that the DMK leaders are criticising the Central government by saying that the Narendra Modi government was conspiring to do injustice to South India and that they will confront it, he said the announcement of holding a meeting with prominent figures from South India against the Central government was a completely politically motivated act. “This is an act of political malice. The stance taken by the DMK and the Congress parties on the National Education Policy and the delimitation issues related to parliamentary constituencies is full of bankruptcy.
Elections are going to be held in Tamil Nadu in the next six months. The DMK will lose these elections. There is strong opposition among the people against the DMK rule, the corruption, exploitation and dictatorial tendencies of the Stalin family. They are ready to play political dramas to escape from that,” he said.
Addressing media persons at the State BJP office here, he claimed that there was severe corruption in Tamil Nadu and added that high taxes were being imposed by the State government besides increasing the electricity tariffs. “The non-implementation of welfare schemes given to the people in the last elections have increased dissatisfaction among the people. They are trying to provoke the people by portraying PM Modi, the Central government, Hindi language, and parliamentary constituencies as corrupt. Many DMK leaders are involved in a liquor scam. This politics is being done to divert the people's attention from the loot of crores of rupees of public money.
The National New Education Policy has not been introduced recently. It was introduced by the DMK-allied government in 1986 during the Congress party’s rule. It was not opposed then. The Narendra Modi government has brought a policy of further promoting local languages in non-Hindi states. The three-language principle began during the British period. Narendra Modi did not introduce it newly. The three-language principle came with the ideas of C Rajagopalachari,” he said.
Reddy added that in the past, the Kothari Committee further strengthened the three-language principle during the Congress party’s rule. He said the DMK leadership knows all this and added that after Modi became the Prime Minister, he did not force Hindi language on any State. “When elections are approaching, the Congress and DMK parties do false propaganda. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin is making a fuss about this issue by keeping in mind the upcoming elections.
The DMK government has changed the rupee design logo designed by DMK MLA's son Uday Kumar. This shows how depraved politics Congress and its allies are doing. The rupee logo was designed 15 years ago when Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister. Now it has been changed. People are understanding the stance of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party. The rupee logo was introduced in 2010. The new education policy came into effect in 2020. Will the currency created by the Reserve Bank of India be valid in Tamil Nadu or not? Rahul Gandhi should react on this. They can speak and study the language they like. Hindi language was not forced on anyone. The education policy that came in 1968 also had a three-language principle. In the new education policy brought by Modi in 2020, there is no pressure to learn a particular language,” he asserted.
Reddy said it was not good for the country that the Congress and DMK parties were trying to provoke people for votes. “They bring unnecessary discussions to the fore only when the DMK party is in.
